Greeting the attending, the Mayor of Cacak Milun Todorovic said that in the last three years the City of Cacak had two audits, which is important for the direct and indirect budget beneficiaries, hoping that this would lead to better solutions in the future. In both cases the city services strove to respond to the State Audit Institution’s remarks and eliminate any noted deficiencies within the 90-day deadline required by law. The biggest problem noted in Cacak, as in other local self-governments, is the inventory of property and its value, which the authorities will work on in the coming period when the first irregularity-free audit report is expected.

The Audit Report on the Consolidated Financial Reports of the Annual Financial Statement of the City of Cacak 2018 Budget and the Audit Report on the Annual Financial Statement of the Republic of Serbia Budget 2008 – 2018 were presented by Dr Dusko Pejovic, President of the Council of the State Audit Institution.

The Committee members also granted consent to the Proposal of the State Audit Institution 2020 Financial Plan and projections for 2021 and 2022.

The sitting was attended by representatives of the State Audit Institution, City of Cacak and the Ministry of Finance Treasury Administration.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Dr Aleksandra Tomic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Zoran Bojanic, Olivera Pesic, Dr Milorad Mijatovic, Srbislav Filipovic, Goran Kovacevic, Tanja Tomasevic Damnjanovic, Sonja Vlahovic, Dusko Tarbuk, Momo Colakovic and Milan Lapcevic.

The Committee sitting outside of the National Assembly seat was held under the auspices of project “Strengthening the Oversight Role and Transparency of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Phase Two”, conducted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, and financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
