At its sitting held on 12 June, the Administrative Committee discussed and established several proposals of decisions and reports, taking as its starting point the Decision on Obligations of Public Authorities of the Republic of Serbia in Assuming Powers of the Republic of Serbia as Successor State to the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro.

The Chairman of the National Assembly, Predrag Markovic, who took part in the sitting, pointed to the pressing need for adopting all necessary documents and taking all necessary measures for the Assembly to assume all powers hitherto enjoyed by the Parliament of Serbia and Montenegro.

After discussing the issue of termination of office of deputies to the Parliament of Serbia and Montenegro, justices of the Court of Serbia and Montenegro, and other officials appointed by the Parliament of Serbia and Montenegro delegated from the Republic of Serbia, the Administrative Committee resolved to propose to the National Assembly that it should note that the offices of deputies to the Serbia-Montenegro Parliament, justices of the Court, and all other officials appointed by the Serbia-Montenegro Parliament and delegated from the Republic of Serbia terminated on 3 June.

The Administrative Committee also adopted the Proposal of the Decision Establishing Salary Entitlements After Termination of Office for Deputies to the Parliament of Serbia and Montenegro Delegated from the Republic of Serbia, and the Proposal of the Decision Establishing Salary Entitlements After Termination of Office for Officials Elected, Appointed, or Nominated by the Parliament of Serbia and Montenegro Delegated from the Republic of Serbia. The Committee also adopted the Proposal of the Decision Repealing Decisions of the Administrative Committee of the Parliament of Serbia and Montenegro, and the Proposal of the Decision Authorising the Secretary of the National Assembly to Adopt Documents and Undertake Measures Necessary for the Exercise of Powers Assumed from the Parliament of Serbia and Montenegro.

The Administrative Committee went on to adopt the Civil Servants’ Salaries Bill in its entirety. Neither the Government nor the Committee endorsed any of the 30 amendments submitted to the bill.
