50th Sitting of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending
At the sitting held on 15 July, the members of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending discussed the appointment of a Committee representative to the Regional Network of Parliamentary Committees for Economy, Finance and European Integration of the Western Balkan Countries.
Committee deputy member Vladimir Marinkovic briefed the Committee members on the activities of the Network comprising the members of committees and commissions for economy, finance and European integration of the national parliaments of the Western Balkan countries, with an eight-member board elected for a 12-month term. The Committee members agreed to submit their proposals for representative of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending in the upcoming period.
Committee Chairperson Vesna Kovac informed the Committee members that a training is to be organised in September-October 2013 for the Committee members on preventing corruption in public procurement procedures, asking them to submit proposals for five Committee members to take part in the training, which the Committee will vote on at one of the upcoming sittings.
The Committee members went on to retract the eight amendments the Committee had submitted to the Accounting Bill at its 48th sitting held on 10 July 2013. The Committee also submitted two amendments to articles 41 and 51 of the same Bill.
The sitting was chaired by Vesna Kovac, Committee Chairperson.
