34th Sitting of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending

At the sitting held on 27 February, the members of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending reviewed the Information of the President of the Working Group for the drafting of the test to assess the professional capability in the field of public procurement of the candidates for President and members of the Republic Commission for the Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures, on the Working Group’s course of activity and the Proposal to expand the authority of the Working Group for the drafting of the test to assess the professional capability in the field of public procurement of the candidates for President and members of the Republic Commission for the Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures, to cover reviewing the applications to the public competition and whether the candidates meet the requisites.


The President of the Working Group, Dr Milorad Mijatovic, said that the competition had been closed and that 21 candidates had applied. Mijatovic added that the Working Group had met on several occasions to discuss the principles for the drafting of the test to assess the candidates’ professional capability. The Working Group suggested the following principles: the test should be qualificatory and the candidates need 75% correct answers to pass to the next level, the test should comprise 32 multiple choice questions, last 60 minutes and not allow the use of books.
Following a short debate, the Committee members adopted the principles for the drafting of the test to assess the professional capability in the field of public procurement of the candidates for President and members of the Republic Commission for the Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures proposed by the Working Group.
The Committee members also adopted the Conclusion that they expand the authority of the Working Group for the drafting of the test to assess the professional capability in the field of public procurement of the candidates for President and members of the Republic Commission for the Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures to cover reviewing the applications to the public competition and whether the candidates meet the requisites.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairperson, Vesna Kovac.
