State Audit Institution Council President Radoslav Sretenovic stressed that the SAI had audited 46 entities and published 143 audit reports. The SAI had completed two types of audits – financial report and regularity audits.
Sretenovic presented the state audit reports to the Committee members in detail, relating to: the accounting system; internal financial control in the public sector; inventory conduction of non-financial, financial assets and liabilities; implementation of the Budget System Law; balance sheet; public procurement; income and earnings; expenses incurred for employee salaries and fees; payment of fees for commissioned services and temporary and occasional service contracts; taxes and fees and VAT; public debt and other irregularities.
In the course of the debate the Committee members were further informed on some of the audit reports. They exchanged opinions with the SAI representatives on the effects of the audits as well as measures undertaken and recommendations given.
