29th Sitting of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending
At the sitting held on 24 December, the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending discussed the Public Procurement Bill, submitted by a group of 138 MPs, in principle.
The representative of the submitters, MP Veroljub Arsic, stated that the Bill introduces centralization into public procurement, increased transparency of operation, as well as anti-corruption and anti-discriminatory measures which would jointly prevent corruption in public procurement procedures. The drafting of the Bill also included several months of public debates, stressed Arsic.
The Committee members accepted the Public Procurement Bill in principle.
The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairperson, Vesna Kovac.
