Assistant Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Nena Tomovic briefly presented the bills saying that the key reason for the adoption of the Bill on Cable Cars for Transport of People is the need for uniform regulation of the matter in the interest of the safety of the people using the cable cars. The reason for the adoption of the Bill on Railway Transport Contracts lies in the fact that two new systemic laws have been passed in the area, adjusted to EU directives, giving rise to the need to harmonise the existing law on railway transport contracts with both the national legislation and the EU acquis.
Following a short debate, the Committee members accepted the Bill on Cable Cars for Transport of People and the Bill on Railway Transport Contracts, in principle, by majority vote.
The Committee members then went on to discuss three bills on the confirmation of agreements viz. Air Transport Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the United Arab Emirates, Air Transport Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia on Determining Border Crossing Procedures for Presevo - Tabanovce Railway Border Crossing, submitted by the Government.
Following a presentation and brief debate, the Committee members accepted the bills by majority vote.
