The Bill was presented by Istvan Pasztor, Speaker of the AP Vojvodina Assembly, representative of the submitter, who stressed that the Bill harmonises the elements of the basic Budget System Law with the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia as regards the amount of the AP Vojvodina budget and offers constitutional guarantees. The Budget System Law is a systemic law, but problems arise from the definition of the term of budget which has, in the latest amendments to the law, been interpreted too-narrowly, which has relativized the constitutional guarantee, so it is the submitter’s intention to adjust the law to the constitutional framework, said Pasztor.
Following a short debate, the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending did not accept the Bill amending the Budget System Law.
