22nd Sitting of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society
At the sitting held on 22 June, the members of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society deliberated on the Proposal of the Decision on the 2016-2020 Official Statistics Programme, submitted by the Government.
Acting Director of the Republic Statistical Office Dr Miladin Kovacevic said that the chief goal of the 2016-2020 Official Statistics Programme is harmonisation of statistical research and indicators with international standards, mainly the standards of the European Statistical System and the European Union. The Development Strategy of Official Statistics in the Republic of Serbia for a five-year period is a component of the Programme, said Kovacevic.
The Committee members proposed that the National Assembly adopt the Proposal of the Decision on the 2016-2020 Official Statistics Programme.
The sitting was chaired by MA Aleksandra Jerkov, Committee Chairperson.
