Assistant Minister of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection Dejan Trifunovic presented the Bill to the Committee members, saying its main goal is to ensure rational and sustainable energy use.
The Committee members agreed that rational energy use is a very important topic and, in the course of the discussion, learned more about the proposed energy efficiency control at the level of local self-government, as well as the construction of energetically efficient facilities.
Following the debate, the Committee accepted the Bill on Efficient Energy Use, in principle.
The Committee members went on to consider and, after a short discussion, accepted the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Russian Federation on Natural Gas Delivery from the Russian Federation to the Republic of Serbia, explained by Assistant Minister of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection Petar Stanojevic.
At the sitting, the Committee members also accepted the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the United Arab Emirates on Reciprocal Stimulation and Protection of Investments, elaborated by Jasmina Roskic, representative of the Ministry of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications.
