11th Sitting of the Security Services Control Committee

On 16 December 2025, the Security Services Control Committee held a sitting closed to the public, where it considered and adopted the Military Intelligence Agency regular activity reports, covering the previous period.


The reports were presented by Military Intelligence Agency Director Brigadier General Velimir Planic and associates, who said that they give a comprehensive overview of all the elements of the service’s activity.

Given the security environment, challenges, risks and threats in the world and the region, the Military Intelligence Agency successfully performs tasks of importance for the security of the Republic of Serbia, providing high-quality and timely information to the state and military leadership about the role of the military factor at the global and regional levels.

Committee Chairman MA Igor Becic, emphasised that the political and security situation at the global level and constant technological advancements that greatly affect the contemporary physiognomy of intelligence activities require the strengthening of intelligence structures, equipping them with modern means, high-quality selection and training of intelligence personnel, and modernisation of the intelligence architecture of the Military Intelligence Agency, in which the Agency has the Committee’s full support.

The Committee members noted that the Military Intelligence Agency performed all tasks within its jurisdiction in the reporting period in accordance with the law, in the interest of protecting the security of the Republic of Serbia, and positively assessed the actions and work of the Agency's members in carrying out assigned tasks, especially in these challenging times.

MA Igor Becic welcomed the cooperation that the Military Intelligence Agency has with other security services of the Republic of Serbia, as well as with partner intelligence and security services around the world.

The work of the Military Intelligence Agency through the collection, analysis and delivery of intelligence data is of crucial importance for preserving stability and protecting the national interests of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman MA Igor Becic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Radoslav Milojicic, Edis Durgutovic, Tomislav Jankovic, Ugljesa Markovic and Darko Jovanovic.
