Dragana Milovanovic of the Republic Water Directorate presented the Bill amending and modifying the Water Law as representative of the submitter, with a special focus on the amendments adjusting it to several European directives concerning water, water protection, flood risks, quality of water for human consumption, etc. Milovanovic said that the amendments also concern protection against pollution, wastewater processing, amendment of terms and designation of water zones. By the end of 2018 Serbia would be completely adjusted to European standards in the field, Milovanovic concluded.

Following a debate, the Committee members accepted the Bill amending and modifying the Water Law in principle, by majority vote.

The Bill on Transport of Dangerous Goods was presented by Ana Senicic of the Directorate for Transportation of Dangerous Goods as representative of the submitter, saying that the Bill regulates the conditions for carriage of dangerous goods via railway, road and on inland waterways. The Bill is fully harmonised with directive 682008 and also means the adoption of two by-laws adjusting it to directive 352010 concerning pressurised movable goods, and directive 95050 concerning road controls.

Following a debate, the Committee members accepted the Bill on Transport of Dangerous Goods in principle, by majority vote.

The Committee proceeded to select a delegation to represent it at the Conference Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs of Parliaments of the European Union (COSAC) 22 and 23 January 2017 on Malta, comprising Elvira Kovacs and Zarko Micin.

The Committee also appointed Committee member and National Assembly Deputy Speaker Gordana Comic as representative at the 10th Europe-Ukraine Forum, 26 – 28 January 2017 in Rzeszow, Poland, and Committee member Dusica Stojkovic as representative at the interparliamentary conference “Local and regional governments in the enlargement region and EU regional policy”, to be held on 30 and 31 January 2017, in the European Parliament, Brussels.
