11th Sitting of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending

At the sitting held on 7 July, the members of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending discussed the Report of the Government of the Republic of Serbia on the natural disaster – flood suffered by the Republic of Serbia and measures employed to save the population and defend the threatened areas from the flood.


Presenting the part of the Report relating to the measures employed by the Ministry of Finance, Ministry representative Marko Lazarevic outlined the activity of the Customs Administration, Treasury Administration and Tax Administration. Lazarevic also said that the Ministry of Finance had set up a dinar and foreign currency account to accept relief donations to tackle the consequences of the natural disaster – floods.
In the course of the sitting, the Committee members and MPs commented on the Government’s Report, gaining further insight into certain of parts of the Report.
Following the debate, the Committee unanimously decided to submit a Report to the National Assembly accompanied by a Conclusion Proposal stating that the Committee accepted the Report of the Government of the Republic of Serbia on the natural disaster –flood suffered by the Republic of Serbia and measures employed to save the population and defend the threatened areas from the flood, also proposing that the National Assembly discuss it by urgent procedure.

The sitting was chaired by Veroljub Arsic, Committee Chairman.
