Women’s Parliamentary Network – Press Release

We are deeply concerned by the recurrent incidences of domestic violence with a tragic outcome and wish to turn this worry into support for the full implementation of the existing legislation relating to the prevention and reduction of said violence.

Domestic violence happens in all societies and it is the constitutional duty of all of us at the National Assembly, the executive power, prosecution and courts to stand united in the prevention of the violence, isolation of the offenders and prevention of future victims.

The Women’s Parliamentary Network believes the fight against violence to be one of its priorities, one of the common goals, because everybody has the right to life without violence.

We invite you all to join us in securing justice for the victims of violence, because it is our duty to work jointly with the executive and make sure there are no more victims.
