Women’s Parliamentary Network Visits Kikinda
Women’s Parliamentary Network coordinator Gordana Comic and members Dubravka Filipovski and Velinka Tosic visited the municipality of Kikinda.
On the occasion they talked about the local mechanisms for the improvement of gender equality and implementation of the local Action Plan for the improvement of the status of women for the period 2012-2017 with the President of the Municipal Assembly of Kikinda Aleksandra Felbab, Chairperson of the Gender Equality Council Aleksandra Majkic, members of the Kikinda Municipal Assembly Councilwomen’s Network and members of the Women’s Support Centre Marija Srdic and Biljana Stepanov.
The Women’s Parliamentary Network is a good organisation model for the councilwomen in local self-governments and has so far organised two National Conferences resulting in more than 50 councilwomen’s networks in Serbian towns and municipalities.
