Twenty-Sixth Sitting of the Committee on Science and Technological Development
At the sitting held on 11 May, the members of the Committee on Science and Technological Development considered the Bill on the Confirmation of the Convention on the Grant of European Patents (European Patent Convention) of 5 October 1973, with amendments to Article 63 of the European Patent Convention of 17 December 1991 and as amended on 29 November 2000, and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks, the Rulebook on the Implementation of the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks and the Resolution by the Diplomatic Conference Supplementary to the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks and the Rulebook on the Implementation of the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks, submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
At the sitting held on 11 May, the members of the Committee on Science and Technological Development considered the Bill on the Confirmation of the Convention on the Grant of European Patents (European Patent Convention) of 5 October 1973, with amendments to Article 63 of the European Patent Convention of 17 December 1991 and as amended on 29 November 2000, and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks, the Rulebook on the Implementation of the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks and the Resolution by the Diplomatic Conference Supplementary to the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks and the Rulebook on the Implementation of the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks, submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
The sitting was attended by the Director and Deputy Director of the Intellectual Property Office, Branka Totic and Mirela Boskovic respectively, who briefly outlined the two Bills to the Committee members.
Following a short discussion, the Committee members accepted the Bill on the Confirmation of the Convention on the Grant of European Patents (European Patent Convention) of 5 October 1973, with amendments to Article 63 of the European Patent Convention of 17 December 1991 and as amended on 29 November 2000, by a majority of votes and with the reserved opinion of deputies Sreto Peric and Srboljub Zivanovic.
The Committee members also accepted the Bill on the Confirmation of the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks, the Rulebook on the Implementation of the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks and the Resolution by the Diplomatic Conference Supplementary to the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks and the Rulebook on the Implementation of the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks, by a majority of votes and with the reserved opinion of deputies Sreto Peric, Milorad Buha and Srboljub Zivanovic
The sitting was chaired by Srboljub Zivanovic, Committee Chairman.
