Training for Women’s Parliamentary Network

The National Assembly House hosted a training for the Women’s Parliamentary Network (WPN), attended by Finnish MP Elisabeth Naucler who had helped set up the WPN at the National Assembly.

The Finnish MP shared Finland’s experiences in the field of protection and improvement of women’s rights and the efforts to increase the representation of women in politics. She said that the position of women in Finland is better than in other European countries, stating that Finland was among the first countries to give women the right to vote and stand for election, and Finland is the first country in the world where women make up the majority of the Government.

MP Elisabeth Naucler spoke of the role of the women’s caucus in the Finnish Parliament, cooperation with the media and answered the WPN members’ questions about the role of women in the policy creation process.

Director of NGO CRTA Vukosava Crnjanski spoke to the members of the Women’s Parliamentary Network about the concept of time management and taught them some basic time management techniques.

The training was co-organised by the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence, Finnish Embassy and the OSCE Mission to Serbia.
