Thirty-Ninth Sitting of the Legislative Committee

At the sitting held on 27 December, the Legislative Committee discussed in principle the Bills on Territorial Organisation, Local Self-Government, Local Elections and the Capital City.



At the sitting held on 27 December, the Legislative Committee discussed in principle the Bills on Territorial Organisation, Local Self-Government, Local Elections and the Capital City. All the bills were submitted by the Government.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Vlatko Ratkovic and attended by the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Milan Markovic.

Deeming them in line with the constitutional and legal system, the Committee proposed that the National Assembly accept in principle the Bills on Territorial Organisation, Local Self-Government, Local Elections and the Capital City.

At the sitting it was noted that in its present convocation, the Committee has, since 9 May of this year, held 39 sittings discussing 78 bills and a total of 1258 submitted amendments.
