The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Zoran Sami, and attended by Dr Tinde Kovac Cerovic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Science, Slobodan Jaukovic and Bojana Mitrovic, Assistant Ministers of Education and Science, Dr Srdjan Stankovic, President of the National Council for Higher Education, Dr Vera Vujcic, President of the Commission for Accreditation and Quality Assurance and Desanka Radunovic, President of the National Education Council.

The Committee members reviewed the letter of the Ministry of Education and Science regarding the establishment of remuneration for the members of the National Council for Higher Education and Commission for Accreditation and Quality Assurance. The Committee noted that the Law on Higher Education establishes the right of the members of these bodies to remuneration the amount of which is determined by the National Assembly at the proposal of the appropriate committee, and that since the adoption of said Law in 2005 the National Assembly has failed to adopt such an act. The Committee concluded to ask the Administrative Committee to consider, as quickly as possible, the problem regarding the payment of remuneration and determine the amount of it for both the members of the National Council for Higher Education and the Commission for Accreditation and Quality Assurance, as well as the members of the National Education Council.

The Committee went on to consider the National Education Council 2010 Activity Report with the 2011 Work Plan. Following a short discussion, the Committee decided to propose that the National Assembly accept the report.
