Third Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 25 April, the members of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government considered, in detail, the Bill on Ministries and the Bill amending the Law on the Government.


In line with article 164, paragraph 1, of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, the Committee deliberated on 74 amendments to the Bill on Ministries. Out of all the amendments submitted the Committee members decided to propose that the National Assembly accept: the amendment to article 9 of the Bill, submitted by MP Marjan Risticevic, amendment to article 9 of the Bill, submitted by MP Dr Gordana Zoric, amendment to article 9 of the Bill, submitted by a group of 132 MPs of the Serbian Progressive Party Parliamentary Group, amendment to article 37 of the Bill, submitted by a group of 132 MPs of the Serbian Progressive Party Parliamentary Group and the amendment to article 38 of the Bill, submitted by a group of 130 MPs of the Serbian Progressive Party Parliamentary Group. The Committee rejected the rest of the amendments.
In line with article 157, paragraph 6, of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, the Committee submitted amendments to articles 2, 3, 10, 14, 31, 34, 37 and 39 of the Bill on Ministries. The submitter of the Bill accepted the Committee’s amendments at the Committee sitting.
In line with article 164, paragraph 1, of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, the Committee deliberated on the two amendments submitted to the Bill amending the Law on the Government and decided to propose that the National Assembly reject them.
MP Veroljub Arsic attended the sitting as the submitter of the bills.
