Third Sitting of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy

At the sitting held on 2 December 2022, the members of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy considered the Republic of Serbia 2023 Budget Bill, Section 21 - Ministry of Economy, Section 28 - Ministry of Mining and Energy, Section 32 - Ministry of Domestic and Foreign Trade and Section 37 - Ministry of Tourism and Youth, submitted by the Government, in principle.


The Bill was presented by Ana Vasovic, representative of the Ministry of Finance, while Marija Filipovic spoke briefly about the proposed 2023 budget for the relevant ministries. She said that the budgetary allocation for Section 21 - Ministry of Economy, is 30,184,441,000 RSD most of which is to go to investments of special importance, loan support for companies in the process of privatization, infrastructure and the Development Agency of Serbia. The budgetary allocation for Section 28 - Ministry of Mining and Energy, is 49,737,652,000 RSD most of which is for the mitigation of the energy crisis, mining investment subsidies, construction of the Serbia-Bulgaria gas interconnector, Resavica public enterprise, underprivileged energy consumers and for the purchase of energy sources. 1,532,157,000 RSD is the budgetary allocation for Section 32 - Ministry of Domestic and Foreign Trade and 3,163,156,000 RSD for Section 37 - Ministry of Tourism and Youth, most of which is intended for tourism subsidies and as incentives for tourist destination infrastructure and suprastructure construction.

Following a discussion the Committee accepted the Republic of Serbia 2023 Budget Bill in principle.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman MA Dejan Radenkovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dr Zivan Bajic, Dalibor Jekic, Nikola Nesic, Veroljub Arsic, Dr Aleksandra Tomic, Nikola Radosavljevic, MA Ninoslav Eric, Miodrag Gavrilovic, Bojana Bukumirovic, Tijana Davidovac, Ugljesa Markovic, Zivota Starcevic and Rodoljub Stanimirovic.
