Talks with Council of Europe Representative
The chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Nada Kolundzija, and member of the Committee, Professor Dr Stevan Lilic, held talks with Roman Jakic, chairman of the Committee on Political Affairs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
The chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Nada Kolundzija, and member of the Committee, Professor Dr Stevan Lilic, held talks with Roman Jakic, chairman of the Committee on Political Affairs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Nada Kolundzija expressed thanks for the international communityÆs understanding for the declaration of a state of emergency in Serbia and underlined the undisputable political will of the democratic majority to free itself of its negative heritage and continue on the road of democratic change.
Roman Jakic stressed that the adoption of the Constitutional Charter and the creation of new institutions meant that our country had created conditions for accession to the Council of Europe, and that he expected that Serbia and Montenegro would be invited to join between 31 March and 4 April.
