TWENTIETH SITTING OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE COMMITTEE

The Committee members went on to discuss the Report on expenses realised by the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia for the January-June 2007 period, which they adopted partially (the part concerning the National Assembly). Commission members’ Fees (Table 1 – 12/416) will be adopted at a later date, when REC submits the complete report, containing all the information in their possession.

The Committee also adopted the proposal to urgently assent to the Acts of Trustee for Information of Public Importance, namely: the Decision on the working of the service of Trustees for Information of Public Importance and Rule Book on the internal arrangement and systematisation of job positions in the Service of Trustee for Information of Public Importance.

The Committee members also adopted the proposed by-laws of Ombudsman Acts (Decision on education and activities of the service of Ombudsman and Rule Book on internal arrangement and systematisation of jobs in Ombudsman Expert Service), as well as a decision on Ombudsman salary.

With eight votes “for” and four “against”, the Committee decided that Members of Parliament Dragan Todorovic and Nenad Canak pay a three-thousand dinars fine by way of penalty for the breach of activities at the Seventh Extraordinary Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2007.

The Committee unanimously brought the decision to approve the benefits for living separately to the Member of Parliament, professor Nebojsa Randjelovic.

Also, the Committee unanimously decided to forward a request to the Trustee for Public Information to ask for a report on the amount of net salaries of named and appointed persons in public companies, agencies and directorates founded by the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee also adopted the request from the previous sitting, of the Member of Parliament, Milomir Dunjic, to have his fee extended for additional six months, because after that period he will achieve the right to retirement.

The Committee sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Dragan Todorovic.
