Speaker of the National Assembly Receives Russian Ambassador

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Dr Oliver Dulic talked today to the newly appointed ambassador of the Russian Federation in Belgrade, Alexander Konuzin.



The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Dr Oliver Dulic talked today to the newly appointed ambassador of the Russian Federation in Belgrade, Alexander Konuzin.

During the conversation they noted with pleasure that the relations between the two countries are developing dynamically in all areas.

They agreed that after its constitution, the new convocation of the National Assembly should urgently discuss the Energy Agreement between Serbia and the Russian Federation.

Speaker Dulic thanked Russia on its principled position concerning the final status of Kosovo and Metohia and urged a continuation of negotiations which would result in a just solution.

Ambassador Konuzin supported the continuation of Serbia’s European integrations, deeming that the Kosovo issue would have been solved differently had Serbia joined the European Union sooner.
