Today, on 13 March, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Dr Oliver Dulic, applauded the calling of extraordinary parliamentary elections for 11 May of this year.

Today, on 13 March, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Dr Oliver Dulic, applauded the calling of extraordinary parliamentary elections for 11 May of this year.

“Calling elections is the most logical way out of the deep political crisis in which we have found ourselves the previous week due to a lack of consensus within the ruling coalition concerning the continuation of European integrations. I expect that the new Assembly majority and the Government will be able to ensure a better life for all the citizens of Serbia by expediting European integrations and preserving the country’s territorial integrity”, Dulic stated.

The Speaker of the National Assembly thanked all the deputies of the current parliamentary convocation for creating an atmosphere of mutual understanding and respect which resulted in the passing of a large number of important bills, especially ones stemming from the Constitutional Law on the application of the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia.
