Speaker Dulic Receives Delegation of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts

In his talk with the delegation of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA), headed by the President of SASA, Nikola Hajdin, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Dr Oliver Dulic, announced that the Bill on the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts will be on the agenda of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly in 2008. The talk focused on the importance and need to pass the Bill on the Academy, currently in Assembly procedure, as soon as possible.



In his talk with the delegation of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA), headed by the President of SASA, Nikola Hajdin, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Dr Oliver Dulic, announced that the Bill on the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts will be on the agenda of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly in 2008.

The talk focused on the importance and need to pass the Bill on the Academy, currently in Assembly procedure, as soon as possible. The SASA representatives supported the proposal that, before their being discussed at the National Assembly session, a public discussion on the proposed legal solutions be organised at the National Assembly House which would include representatives of institutions, the Academy, members of parliament and the general public.

Speaker Dulic briefed the guests on the plan of activities of the National Assembly which will, in 2008, include work on aligning domestic with European legislation and on the reform of the justice system.
