Speaker Appeals to Improve Conditions for New Mothers

Concerning the warnings of the poor conditions for new mothers in the hospital in Gornji Milanovac, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and Chairman of the Committee on the Rights of the Child Dr Nebojsa Stefanovic appealed to the authorities to do all in their power to ensure normal deliveries and facilitate post-natal care for mothers and babies.


At the same time, Dr Nebojsa Stefanovic asks all the actors of social life in Gornji Milanovac to overcome party differences and invest all their efforts into resolving this situation, as well as ensure the appropriate conditions for the care of mothers and their new-borns. “It is unacceptable to make new mothers wait out party quarrels, the problems needs to be addressed urgently”, stressed Speaker Stefanovic.
