Sixty-Second Sitting of the Committee on Health and the Family
organise a public hearing on: World Health Organisation “Health 2020” European Region Policy – Health in all Policies and Serbia.
The date of the public hearing will be set subsequently.
In the continuation, Committee Chairman Dr Paja Momcilov briefed the Committee members on the memo received from the Serbian Society for Fight against Cancer relating to the dispute about offices at the Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia. On the issue, the Committee concluded the following: The Committee appeals to the stakeholders to use dialogue to come up with the best solution in the interest of cancer patients.
At the sitting, the Committee on Health and the Family also adopted the following conclusion: The Committee appeals to the competent institutions to fully protect the health of Prof. Dr Vojislav Seselj, detained at the Hague Tribunal. It is necessary to ensure him adequate diagnostics and treatment in Serbia outside of prison.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Paja Momcilov.
