Sixty-Eighth Sitting of the Committee on Science and Technological Development

The Committee on Science and Technological Development held its sixty-eighth sitting on 25 January 2012. The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Srboljub Zivanovic.


The Committee members considered and unanimously adopted the Committee on Science and Technological Development 2011 Activity Report Proposal. In said period the Committee had held 28 sittings, deliberating on 55 items on the agenda, and within its legislative activity the Committee had deliberated on nine bills submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia and 183 amendments, while the Committee itself had also submitted three amendments of its own, said Zivanovic.

Among other things, in the past year the Committee also considered the Bill amending and modifying the Republic of Serbia 2011 Budget Law, Bill on the Republic of Serbia 2012 Budget, Proposal of the Decision on the Official Statistics Programme for 2011-2015, four Activity Reports-Information on the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as the initiative to constitute a separate ministry to deal with science and technological development, said the Committee Chairman.

The Committee also held three sittings outside of the National Assembly headquarters – in Vinca, Zemun and Backi Petrovac and worked on promoting international activities.

In the continuation, the Committee Chairman informed the Committee members that they have been invited to attend the promotion of the publication “Guide to Europe 2020 Strategy" organised by the European Movement in Serbia at the National Assembly on Thursday, 26 January 2012.
