Sixth Meeting of European Union-Serbia Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee

The Sixth Meeting of European Union-Serbia Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) will be held on 13 and 14 September 2017 at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.


The National Assembly’s delegation to attend the meeting in Strasbourg comprises the following: Chair Dr Vladimir Orlic, Deputy Chair Elvira Kovacs, and members: Dr Aleksandra Tomic, Prof. Dr Ljubisa Stojmirovic, Dragan Sormaz, Vesna Markovic, Dubravka Filipovski, Nedjo Jovanovic, Vesna Marjanovic, Dr Milorad Mijatovic, Dusica Stojkovic and Vladimir Duric.

During the two-day meeting the members of the European Parliament and the National Assembly will discuss the state-of-play of Serbia’s accession talks and relations with the EU, implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, economic development, protection of basic rights and freedoms, gender equality and domestic violence, work of independent state bodies and organizations, dialogue on the normalization of the Belgrade-Pristina relations, and the refugee crisis in Serbia and the European Union.

At the end of the meeting the participants will discuss the proposal of a joint declaration and recommendations in line with Article 7 of the Parliamentary Committee Rules of Procedure and Article 125 of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, to be adopted by a majority vote of both delegations to SAPC and forwarded to the Stabilisation and Association Council and relevant EU and Serbian institutions.
