Situation in Kosovo on PACE Agenda

The Head of the National Assembly’s standing delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Dr Aleksandra Tomic and delegation member Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic are taking part in the meeting of the PACE Political Affairs Committee where in the exchange of opinions on the situation in Kosovo-Metohija they said that they cannot understand the lack of reaction of the PACE to the events of 26 March when the Head of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo-Metohija Marko Djuric was arrested with the use of brutal violence by the so-called Kosovo police.

The whole world can see that Serbs are not safe in Kosovo-Metohija, that the security of the whole region is at risk and PACE which deals with human rights protection has remained silent and not condemned this act of terror and aggression.

Dr Aleksandra Tomic and Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic requested that the PACE clearly and unequivocally condemn the violence against Serbs and intimidation of the Serbian people in Kosovo-Metohija and to enter this act against the human rights of the Serbian national minority in Kosovo-Metohija into the Report on Kosovo.
