Sitting of Foreign Affairs and European Integrations Committees
The European Integrations Committee and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia held a joint session on 23 August.
The European Integrations Committee and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia held a joint session on 23 August.
Committee members discussed the Proposal of a Resolution Prohibiting the Withdrawal or Abandonment of the Suit Filed by the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia with the International Court of Justice at the Hague Against NATO Member States for Damages Caused During the 1999 Conflict, submitted by the Serbian Radical Party Deputies’ Group.
Besides the members, the session was also attended by a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro, Professor Dr Radoslav Stojanovic, the Minister of Justice in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Zoran Stojkovic, and representatives of the European Union Integration Office, Vladimir Medjak and Vladimir Todoric.
The Committees will suggest to the National Assembly to adopt the Proposal of the Resolution.
The Foreign Affairs Committee adopted the Conclusion on initiating a meeting with representatives of parliamentary foreign affairs committees of Southeast European countries, to focus on indictments raised by the International Tribunal at the Hague.
