Seventh Sitting of the Foreign Affairs Committee

At the sitting held on 22 December, the members of the Foreign Affairs Committee considered the Bill on the Confirmation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on the Employment of Family Members Sharing the Household of the Staff of Diplomatic and Consular Representative Offices.


The Bill was presented by a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Committee proposed, by majority vote, that the National Assembly accept it.

The Committee members went on to note the upcoming regular activities of the National Assembly standing delegations and adopted reports on visits realised. The Committee also noted parliamentary and other contacts realised.

The Committee established 37 parliamentary friendship groups and elected the following MPs to head them:

  • PFG with the Union of Chambers Kralj Dubravka;

  • PFG with the Republic of Nauru Bakarec Nebojsa.
The Committee members also elected heads for the PFGs with Italy, Liechtenstein, Poland, Portugal and Iceland. Jovan Palalic was elected Head of the PFG with Italy, Milica Dacic was elected Head of the PFG with Liechtenstein, Marko Zeljug was elected Head of the PFG with Poland, Nemanja Joksimovic was elected Head of the PFG with Portugal, and Branimir Spasic was elected Head of the PFG with Iceland.

At the end of the sitting, the Committee noted the changes in the composition of the parliamentary friendship groups with the Sovereign Order of Malta, Belgium, Moldova, Iceland, Australia, China, Cuba, Russia, the United Kingdom, Egypt and Spain.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dijana Radovic, Ana Karadzic, Djordje Todorovic, Predrag Rajic, Dragan Sormaz, Tihomir Petkovic, Ljiljana Malusic, Vesna Markovic and Dubravka Filipovski.
