At its seventh sitting, held on 26 December and chaired by the Committee Chairman, Vladimir Milentijevic, the Committee on Kosovo and Metohia considered the Report of the State Negotiating Team on the negotiations conducted under the mandate of the Contact Group Troika on the future status of Kosovo and Metohia (10 August – 19 December).

The Minister of Kosovo and Metohia, Slobodan Samardzic informed the Committee members on the past negotiations of the State Negotiating Team on the future status of Kosovo and Metohia. After a short discussion, the Committee endorsed the Report and decided to propose that the National Assembly adopt it.

The Committee conducted a unified discussion on the Proposal of the Resolution of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia on the protection of sovereignty, territorial integrity and constitutional order of the Republic of Serbia. By a majority of votes the Committee decided to propose that the National Assembly accept the Proposal of the Resolution, with one opinion exempt.

The Committee considered the amendment submitted to the Proposal of the Resolution by deputies members of the Vojvodina Deputies’ Group. The Committee decided by a majority of votes to propose that the National Assembly reject this amendment.
