Serbia and Cuba Together Against Imperialism

The Chairman of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues Dordje Komlenski met today, at the National Assembly House, with the President of the Cuban Movement for Peace Silvio Platero and Cuban Ambassador to Serbia Gustavo Trista del Todo.

The officials agreed that Cuba, Serbia and Venezuela are the last defence against the returning tide of slavery in the world, and Komlenski asked what Serbia could do to help bring back socialism. Speaking of imperialist powers headed by the US, he said that Cuba, Venezuela and Serbia must keep reminding the big powers that there is no price for freedom and Serbia’s most important role is to speak of its hard experiences with the US which should serve as a warning and reminder to other countries to recognize injustice before it grows out of proportion.

“If our freedom-loving countries do not manage to prevent the US from regaining the position it once had, I am afraid the conquest of the world will be so swift that we will not even be aware of it”, said Komlenski.

Platero agreed with Komlenski and highlighted the alarming state of international security, monitored by the World Peace Council via assessments and analyses.

“The US imperialism aims to colonize the whole world and seize foreign resources. It has so far worked in secret but it now acts openly not even bothering with a mask”, Platero said.

The officials also spoke about the political situation in Venezuela and Cuba with a special focus on the new Cuban Constitution and the dangers of production and potential use of nuclear weapons.

The meeting was also attended by Ana Kovacevic and Bojan Torbica.
