Security Services Control Committee Visits Security Information Agency
The members and deputy members of the Security Services Control Committee visited the Security Information Agency on 31 July 2014. The visit was organised in line with the Committee’s 2014 Work Plan, as part of the preparations for a supervisory visit.
This was the first in a series of planned visits to the security services which the Security Services Control Committee is to realise in order to prepare for direct supervision. In the period September-October 2014 the Committee will, in line with its legal duties and the Committee’s Activity Plan, pay supervisory visits to all the security services so as to supervise the constitutionality and legality of the security services’ work, as well as supervise the legality of the implementation of special procedures and measures for the collection of confidential data.
