Security Services Control Committee Chairman Talks to Norwegian Ambassador to Serbia
The Chairman of the Security Services Control Committee Momir Stojanovic met today, at the National Assembly, with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway in Belgrade H.E. Nils Ragnar Kamsvag.
They discussed the Parliament’s experiences relating to the oversight of the security services, Parliament’s cooperation with other supervisory bodies and the duties and activities of the Security Services Control Committee, especially those relating to the control of the Military Security Agency’s work.
Norwegian Ambassador H.E. Nils Ragnar Kamsvag and Committee Chairman Momir Stojanovic agreed that the security services’ role is very important and that credible oversight is the key to gaining public trust.
Momir Stojanovic stressed that, in the upcoming period, the Committee will be engaged in strengthening civil and democratic oversight over the work of the security services.
