Second Sitting of the Environmental Protection Committee

At the sitting, held on 30 November 2020, the members of the Environmental Protection Committee reviewed the Ministry of Environmental Protection Activity Information for the period August - October 2020.

The Ministry Information was presented by Minister of Environmental Protection Irena Vujovic and Assistant Minister Filip Abramovic pointing out that several rulebooks were adopted in this period, namely the Rulebook on the cost of daily, multi-day and annual recreational fishing permits for 2020, the Rulebook on the list of activities that can cause pollution and land degradation, procedure, data content, deadlines and other requirements for land monitoring and the Rulebook on official garb, i.e. uniforms of national park and protected area wardens.

The Assistant Minister added that in this period the Ministry had also worked on several draft laws, regulations and rulebooks and presented the activities of the Sector for Strategic Planning and Projects, Environmental Management Sector, International Cooperation and European Integration Sector, Nature Conservation and Climate Change Sector, Waste and Wastewater Management Division, Financial Management and Control Division and the Environmental Monitoring and Precautionary Division.

The sitting also touched on the work of the Environmental Protection Agency. The activities on the drafting and adoption of the 2019 State of the Environment Report have been continued, and having obtained and revised the Report, further adoption procedure was stopped according to the instructions of the Secretariat for Legislation until the formation of the new Government of Serbia.

Following the ensuing discussion, the Committee members adopted the Ministry of Environmental Protection Activity Information for the period August - October 2020.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Ljubinko Rakonjac and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Ákos Újhelyi, Samira Cosovic, Marko Parezanovic, Tomislav Jankovic, Vesna Krisanov, Gojko Palalic, Nevenka Kostadinova, Marija Todorovic, Jelena Obradovic, Vladimir Grahovac, Marina Ragus, Dragana Radinovic, Aleksandar Jugovic and Zarko Bogatinovic, as well as representatives of the Green Chair.
