Second Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 24 October 2020, the members of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government considered in principle the Bill on Ministries, submitted by 167 MPs of the “Aleksandar Vucic – For Our Children” Parliamentary Group.


The Bill was presented by Committee Chairman Vladimir Djukanovic who said that it established new ministries and special organizations and defines their scope of authority. The Bill proposes a partial reorganization of the existing structure with the establishment of three new ministries: Ministry of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue, Ministry of Family Welfare and Demography and Ministry of Rural Welfare. Djukanovic added that the new Serbian Government would have 21 ministry.

The Committee members unanimously proposed that the National Assembly accept the Bill in principle.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Vladimir Djukanovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Sanja Lakic, Zarko Micin, Biljana Pantic Pilja, Toma Fila, Djordje Komlenski, Velibor Milojicic, Nenad Baros, Djordje Dabic, Sanja Jefic Brankovic, Nebojsa Pavlovic, Vladica Miracic, Jelena Zaric Kovacevic, Dragan M. Markovic and Attila Juhasz.
