The Bill amending the Law on Financing Local Self-Governments was elaborated by Ivan Bosnjak of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and Milena Cojbasic of the Ministry of Finance. They said that the Law needs to be amended to adjust the reallocation of revenue realised from income tax between the local self-government units and the Republic of Serbia. The proposed amendments result in the reallocation of income tax funds in the amount of 4.8 billion RSD from the local level to the level of the republic, as agreed by the current arrangement with the International Monetary Fund.

The Committee members found the Bill amending the Law on Financing Local Self-Governments to be compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia, by majority vote.

The Committee then proceeded to deliberate on the Proposal to pass an authentic interpretation of the provision of Article 6 of the Law on acquiring ownership rights of the grounds, facilities and lines of the joint stock company for the production and processing of steel Zelezara Smederevo d.o.o. Smederevo, submitted by MP Dr Aleksandar Martinovic. The Committee members found the Authentic Interpretation Proposal to be compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia, by majority vote.
