The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Dr Oliver Dulic, received today the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Erato Kozakou-Marcoulis.

Both emphasised that Serbia and Cyprus are friendly countries with much in common and a mutual understanding for the internal difficulties adding that in future they should further overall cooperation.

Speaker Dulic briefed the Cypriot Minister about the intensive work of the National Assembly which should soon ratify a number of agreements to pave Serbia’s way to the European Union. He stressed that each sign testifying to Serbia’s progress towards European integrations is important for the country thanking Cyprus for its support.

The necessity of strengthening the interparliamentary cooperation of the two countries, particularly through the exchange of friendship groups visits, as well as through direct contacts of the Members of Parliament and counterpart working bodies was particularly stressed during the conversation.
