SPEAKER OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY MEETS THE VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Dr Oliver Dulic and the Vice-President of the Government of the Russian Federation, Alexander Zukov agreed today that the relations of the two counties are at a high level and that Serbia’s coming closer to the European Union is not an obstacle to strengthening the strategic relations of Russia and Serbia.



The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Dr Oliver Dulic and the Vice-President of the Government of the Russian Federation, Alexander Zukov agreed today that the relations of the two counties are at a high level and that Serbia’s coming closer to the European Union is not an obstacle to strengthening the strategic relations of Russia and Serbia.

Speaker Dulic pledged to intensify parliamentary cooperation between the Russian Duma and the Serbian Assembly stating that the tradition of two countries’ good relations is proved on this level as well.

Vice-President Zukov declared that Russia sees Serbia as a key economic and political partner on the Balkans.

They both agreed that the issue of the future status of Kosovo and Metohia must be resolved in a compromise by the two sides within the United Nations Security Council.
