Representatives of Ruling Coalition Meet with PACE Monitoring Committee Co-Rapporteurs
Representatives of the ruling coalition met with the co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Monitoring Committee to discuss Serbia’s progress in the Euro-integration process in the last months.
The PACE co-rapporteurs asked about the election process and media allegations regarding Serbia’s European integration. The MPs, members of the ruling coalition, explained the election process in great detail while MP Dr Vladimir Orlic said that the result of the elections prove that the citizens endorse Serbia’s EU accession. Speaking of the media, the representatives of the parliamentary majority said that they enjoy full editorial freedom in Serbia as is evident in all issues of wide social interest, Euro-integration included.
MPs Nenad Mitrovic, Natasa Mihajlovic, Prof. Dr Aleksandra Tomic, Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic, Djordje Komlenski, Vera Paunovic and Momo Colakovic also took part in the meeting.
Co-Rapporteurs Samad Seyidov and Maria Guzenina, Head of the Council of Europe Mission Tim Cartwright and Monitoring Committee secretary Sylvie Affholder also met with National Assembly Deputy Speaker Djordje Milicevic, representatives of the opposition and of the national minority parties.
