The Centre for Modern Skills and the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence re-launched the informal Green Parliamentary Group in the new National Assembly legislature, and 25 MPs from different political parties answered their call. The members’ common goal is to focus on environmental protection and sustainable development and take active part in the promotion of European standards and norms.

Besides the presentation of their work so far and discussion about the basic tenets, the MPs also symbolically signed a charter obligating themselves to launch initiatives at the local, regional and national level concerning the protection and improvement of the environment, include the public in the decision-making process, gain new knowledge about the environment and sustainable development, promote the idea that the environment knows no borders or political colours and champion the implementation of the values and principles of sustainable development.

The promotion of the members of the informal Green Parliamentary Group was attended by MPs Ivan Karic, Prof. Dr Snezana Bogosavljevic Boskovic, Zarko Micin, MA Goran Cabradi, Stefana Miladinovic, Dr Dijana Vukomanovic and Jasmina Karanac, as well as Marija Mutic and Sonja Licht on the behalf of the Centre for Modern Skills and the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence respectively.
