At the initiative of the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic realisation of project Learn With Europe has commenced. The project is realised in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, European Union Delegation to Serbia and Serbian Chamber of Commerce, with the support of Telekom Serbia company.

The NARS Speaker invites all students, members of student parliaments to write an essay on The Importance of the National Assembly in Serbia’s European integration process and send them to the Cabinet of the NARS Speaker by 15 October 2010. The authors of twenty of the best essays will travel to Brussels by the middle of November for a two-day visit to the European Parliament where they shall learn about the EP’s work and talk with EP officials. The jury to select the best 20 essays comprises:

- NARS Speaker Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic

- Minister of Education Zarko Obradovic

- EU Delegation to Serbia representative

- Serbian Chamber of Commerce

- Telekom Serbia representative

On the occasion, Djukic-Dejanovic expressed her expectation that on their return from Brussels the students would apply their experience in the work of their parliaments and transfer the knowledge they had gained to their colleagues.
