Press Release

The Election Campaign Supervisory Board was constituted on 28 February 2022.

We would like to address the public to point out that said body elected by the National Assembly within the conduct of elections, performs general oversight over the actions of:

  • political parties,
  • submitters of proclaimed electoral lists,
  • MP candidates and
  • public service media.
In view of the broad and significant authorities of the Election Campaign Supervisory Board as prescribed by the law (Article 146 of the Law on Election of MPs), we would like to invite the public, that is all subjects taking part, observing or in any other way interested in the election process to send all of their proposals, objections, findings pertaining to possible irregularities or suggestions to the Election Campaign Supervisory Board.

We would like to remind you that the duration of the election campaign for parliamentary elections is 46 days, and 31 day for presidential elections, and it is within this busy schedule that the Supervisory Board has to do all of the many activities within its purview.

The Election Campaign Supervisory Board will endeavour, with a proactive stance and based on its own findings, to contribute to ensuring that all the prescribed duties are respected so as to improve the electoral process as one the crucial components of parliamentary diplomacy.
