PFG with Morocco Meets with Moroccan Ambassador to Serbia
The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Morocco Stefana Miladinovic and PFG members Dr Muamer Bacevac, Aleksandra Majkic and Marina Ristic, met today with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Serbia H.E. Mohammed Amine Belhaj.
The Head of PFG with Morocco Stefana Miladinovic thanked the Kingdom of Morocco for its principled stance of non-recognition of the self-proclaimed independence of Kosovo and respect of Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. She said that the bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Kingdom of Morocco is at an admirable level, so far 16 agreements have been ratified and there is still room to further the relations.
Moroccan Ambassador Mohammed Amine Belhaj commended Serbia’s intent to reconnect with African states. He briefed his hosts on the activities and events the Embassy is planning to mark the 60 years of diplomatic relations with Serbia. The Ambassador emphasized the importance of the reforms conducted in Serbia and the opening of EU negotiation chapters.
The members of the PFG with Morocco and the Ambassador discussed intensifying the cooperation between the two countries in the spheres of education, tourism, culture and art, as well as security, human trafficking and extradition. They especially focused on the common fight against terrorism as a global threat.
