PFG with Bosnia and Herzegovina Meets with Republic of Srpska European Integration and Regional Cooperation Committee Delegation

The PFG with Bosnia and Herzegovina met with the delegation of the Committee on European Integration and Regional Cooperation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska visiting Serbia.

The Head of the PFG with Bosnia and Herzegovina Prof. Dr Ljubisa Stojmirovic said that though the Republic of Serbia and Republic of Srpska share strong brotherly relations, it is important to keep on investing efforts into advancing cooperation at all levels.

The head of the delegation from the Republic of Srpska Igor Crnadak briefed the members of the PFG on the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stressing that the main problem is the ever growing lack of trust among the three entities. He asked the Head of the PFG with Bosnia and Herzegovina to invest additional efforts into strengthening cooperation with Sarajevo because that can have a positive effect on the relationship between Sarajevo and Banja Luka. Prof. Dr Ljubisa Stojmirovic said he was prepared to organize a meeting with the colleagues from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the level of parliamentary friendship groups to help promote the relationship among all the sides.

The meeting was attended by PFG members Dragana Barisic, Mirko Krlic, Aleksandar Markovic and Milimir Vujadinovic who praised the opportunity to talk with the colleagues from the Republic of Srpska and agreed that interparliamentary cooperation should be intensified through joint commemorations of important dates and construction of memorial centres.
