PACE Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights Discusses ROSU May Incursion in North of Kosovo-Metohija
Today, the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) discussed the ROSU incursion in the north of Kosovo-Metohija and the arrest of two UNMIK staff. Deputy member Dubravka Filipovski joined the debate on behalf of the National Assembly’s delegation.
Filipovski said that the Republic of Serbia firmly supports the fight against corruption and organized crime, but is just as firm in its belief that that fight should not include intimidation and violence against the populace or international officials. She condemned the actions of ROSU in the north of Kosovo-Metohija in May of the year and asked PACE to condemn the endangerment of human rights in Kosovo-Metohija.
The National Assembly’s standing delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is taking part in the PACE Autumn Session in Strasbourg, 30 September – 4 October 2019.
The delegation headed by Biljana Pantic Pilja, acting Head of the delegation, also comprises Elvira Kovacs, Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic, Dubravka Filipovski, Aleksandar Seselj and Miljan Damjanovic.
