Ninth Sitting of the Security Services Control Committee

At the sitting held on 24 November, the Security Services Control Committee discussed organising a regional conference of committees supervising security-intelligence services.

The Committee members discussed eight civic petitions the Security Services Control Committee had received, one of which was not taken into consideration as it was unclear, three were forwarded to the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee, three petitions identical to ones already submitted to the Committee in the previous legislature were not processed as they do not fall under the jurisdiction of the Security Services Control Committee. One petition was forwarded to the Ministry of Interior and Security Information Agency for deliberation, and will be considered by the Committee once it had received responses from the Ministry of Interior and Security Information Agency.
The Committee also accepted the proposal of Committee member Dragan Sutanovac to ask the Military Security Agency to forward to the Committee all available data on the allegations that the members of the Military Security Agency in charge of counter-division and counter-interception sweeps of the room where Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic was supposed to have individual meetings with the participants of the Trilateral Commission in Belgrade, have found recording and listening devices. The Committee members will also be requesting the Military Security Agency to submit information on whether any proceedings have been launched based on said event.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Momir Stojanovic.
